Instacart workers are currently on strike, protesting unsafe working conditions. Their demands are reasonable: they'd like hand sanitizer, protective masks, and an extra $5 per order

Instacart is a service that lets you order delivery from a variety of different stories, with available depending on where you live. 

In general, Instacart works like this:

• First, you'll use Instacart's website (if you're on a computer) or their mobile app (if you're on a smartphone or tablet) to place an order. You can find instructions on how to do this further down this page.
  
  • You'll pay for your items upfront, with a credit or debit card. 
  • If you're very lucky, you'll be able to schedule your delivery for a time that's conveinent for you. It is more likely that there will be no slots available, so if you see one — you probably should snag it!
• Once you place your order, someone who works for Instacart will visit the store, purchase the items you've ordered, and deliver them to your door. You can pay and tip them via the app and website, so there's no need to greet them in person; in most cases, they should be able to leave your groceries on your doormat or in front of your building.

Help! It keeps saying there are no delivery slots available.
